The job: a support channel on your Discord server where questions get answered — by your code, by an AI agent or by a person — through the same API key as the rest of your channels.
1. Add the bot
curl -X POST https://makehybrid.com/discord/v1/connection/link \ -H "X-API-KEY: $MAKEHYBRID_KEY"
Whoever manages the server opens the url, picks the server on Discord's own page and allows what the bot asks for.
2. Find the channel
curl https://makehybrid.com/discord/v1/servers \ -H "X-API-KEY: $MAKEHYBRID_KEY" curl https://makehybrid.com/discord/v1/servers/$GUILD_ID/channels \ -H "X-API-KEY: $MAKEHYBRID_KEY"
3. Hear the questions
curl -X POST https://makehybrid.com/discord/v1/webhooks/endpoints \
-H "X-API-KEY: $MAKEHYBRID_KEY" -H "content-type: application/json" \
-d '{"url":"https://acme.com/hooks/discord","events":["discord.message_received"]}'
Each event names the server, the channel, the message and its author. Answer only the ones in your support channel, and leave the rest of the server's conversation to the people having it.
4. Answer as a reply
curl -X POST https://makehybrid.com/discord/v1/channels/$CHANNEL_ID/messages \
-H "X-API-KEY: $MAKEHYBRID_KEY" -H "content-type: application/json" \
-d '{"content":"The release is out.","reply_to":"1200000000000000000"}'
Up to 2,000 characters a post. Nothing the bot posts pings anybody, so an answer cannot wake a whole server.
Questions people ask
Can an AI agent watch the channel for me?
Yes. Connect your assistant to /discord/mcp, or give an AI agent of your own the Discord agent in a project room, and ask it which questions are still unanswered.
Why 429?
Discord asked the bot to slow down. Wait a moment and post again; the answer was not sent.
