Being read by people who are already read is the cheapest attention there is. The work is finding out who they are, answering them while it still matters, and having something to say.
Find them
Search as one of your connected accounts. What comes back is ranked, scored, and carries the figures behind the score.
curl "https://makehybrid.com/linkedin/topvoices?account_id=$ACCOUNT_ID&topic=fintech%20onboarding&limit=10" \ -H "X-API-KEY: $MH_KEY"
Searching is cheap and measuring is not, so the search goes wide and the first twelve are read in full. The meta says how many were found and how many were measured.
Watch the ones worth answering
curl -X POST "https://makehybrid.com/linkedin/topvoices/watchlist" \
-H "X-API-KEY: $MH_KEY" -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{"topic":"fintech onboarding","account_id":"'$ACCOUNT_ID'","person_ids":["jane-doe","sam-okafor"]}'
One profile refusing does not lose the others. Everything readable goes on the list, and the ones that did not come back are named with the reason.
Answer them
One call finds the topic's voices, watches the best of them and starts the campaign that answers them.
curl -X POST "https://makehybrid.com/linkedin/topvoices/campaigns" \
-H "X-API-KEY: $MH_KEY" -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{"topic":"fintech onboarding","name":"Answer the field","account_id":"'$ACCOUNT_ID'",
"discover":true,"watch":12,"state":"running",
"settings":{"react":true,"comment":true,"within_hours":24,"per_day":8,
"comment_brief":"Add one concrete thing we have seen, never a compliment."}}'
Each turn it takes the next voice on the list and reads their newest post. If that post is newer than within_hours — 24 by default, 168 at most — it acts on it. Otherwise it moves on, because a comment nobody will scroll back to is a comment nobody reads.
Write the comment brief as an instruction about substance. "Add one concrete thing we have seen" earns a reply. "Great post!" earns nothing, and reads to everyone scrolling past exactly like what it is.
Questions people ask
What if I already know who I want to answer?
Leave discover out and the campaign answers the watchlist you already built. Watching somebody again under the same topic measures them afresh rather than adding a second row.
Can I have one campaign per topic?
Yes, and it is usually the right shape. A topic is a watchlist, and a campaign answers one topic, so two subjects with different voices should be two campaigns with different comment briefs.
Can my assistant do this in a chat?
Yes. Ask it to call GET /linkedin/setup first — that answers what is still missing and the exact call that does the next bit — and then to find the voices on your topic and start the campaign.
