Delete a campaign is a DELETE on /linkedin/campaigns/{campaign_id}, part of the campaigns family of the MakeHybrid API. Every request carries your own key in an X-API-KEY header; the key decides which organisation you are and therefore which LinkedIn accounts you may name.
The request
curl -X DELETE "https://makehybrid.com/linkedin/campaigns/$CAMPAIGN_ID" \ -H "X-API-KEY: $MAKEHYBRID_KEY"
What goes in the path
- campaign_id — an id returned by an earlier call in this family.
What comes back when it does not work
- 401 — the key is missing, wrong or revoked.
- 402 — the plan is not paid for. The MakeHybrid API answers this once a trial has ended.
- 404 — either the thing is not there, or the account id is not yours. The two are deliberately the same answer, so ids cannot be probed.
- 429 — too many requests, or LinkedIn throttling the account. Waiting is the only fix; trying again sooner extends it.
- 503 — LinkedIn or the hop in front of it did not answer. The body carries the bare status it saw.
Every error is JSON in the same shape: {"type":"errors/<code>","status":<n>,"detail":"..."} — so one handler covers all of them, and the detail is written to be shown to a person.
Asking an assistant instead
This operation is also an MCP tool. Paste https://makehybrid.com/linkedin/mcp/<your API key> into Claude, ChatGPT or any assistant that speaks MCP and ask for what you want in plain English — the assistant picks the call, fills in the ids and reads the answer back to you. There is nothing to install.
In a project room
In a project room, tick MakeHybrid under Can use for an AI agent of your own, and it calls Delete a campaign as a tool whenever the conversation needs it, on the LinkedIn accounts your organization connected. Everyone in the room sees what it asked and what came back. Ask in plain words; here the agent is called @scout:
Questions people ask
Can an AI agent call Delete a campaign for me?
Yes. Any assistant that speaks MCP can, through the address above, and so can an AI agent of your own in a project room with MakeHybrid ticked. The built-in agents of a room cannot: they advise, and they do not hold your LinkedIn key.
Does it work outside a room, from my own code?
Yes. The request above is the same operation an AI agent's tool calls, with the same answer and the same errors. Your key decides which LinkedIn accounts it may name, whichever way you come in.
Does it work in a room under my own brand?
Yes. On a white-label address the tool is listed under your product's name, and it reaches the same accounts under the same rules.
Can a person approve before an AI agent does this?
Write it into the AI agent's instructions: say what you are about to do and wait for a person in the room to say go. A room shows every reply to everyone in it, so the request is seen before anything changes on LinkedIn.
Which plan it is on
The MakeHybrid API, on /linkedin. $9 per connected LinkedIn account per month, $7 from ten accounts and $5 from a thousand, with a 30-day trial covering one account.
